Bot Commander 0.3.0 is now available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. This update is built around one practical theme: making your AI team more useful, and making its work easier to direct, review, and trust.
Nothing about this release removes you from the picture. You still set the goals, make the calls, and approve what leaves your desktop. What's new is that the people-facing parts of Bot Commander — the specialist agents, the video and marketing tools, the support features, and the Command Center itself — now hold their shape better while you work.
Specialist agents with clearer boundaries
The specialist agents you use for content writing, research, code review, operations, sales, support, and website work all received expanded working instructions in this release. These instructions follow each agent's configured role rather than assuming a particular character name, so the guidance applies to the role you assigned, even when you rename the agent.
The more important change is how agents treat finished work. An explicitly unfinished agent turn no longer counts as completed just because it ended with a plan. If you ask a content agent for a draft, a list of "here's what I would do next" is now treated as unfinished rather than done. Specialist handoffs emphasize something concrete: an actual saved deliverable, backed by source evidence, not a promise of one.
Repeated or stalled work is also more bounded now. That covers repeated preparation-for-review loops, source-retrieval limits, and how work gets classified in the first place. In plain terms: when an agent gets stuck circling instead of producing, it has tighter rails for recovering or stopping.
Sales and support draft instructions received the same treatment. They now emphasize useful, reviewable copy and product claims that are backed by source material, giving you a clearer starting point for review.
You can review the resulting work and decide what happens next; the improvements are designed to make that review easier.
Video and marketing production that keeps your choices
For people producing reels, ads, and marketing assets, 0.3.0 fixes several places where the production flow could quietly lose an owner's decision.
Owner Ideas now supports multiline exact titles — including older saved exact-headline records — so a title you chose survives the preparation process instead of being paraphrased or replaced. Team Ad Copy supports editing and exact title selection, with a more consistent product selector.
Reusing saved image assets now retains metadata such as actual image dimensions and orientation. That means later production decisions are made from what the image really is, not a guess about it.
Reel CTA and recorded-audio precedence improvements help preserve your choices about what plays and what gets used. Closing spoken engagement CTAs are now supported, so your call to action can be delivered where you intended it. Influencer mention parsing and selection improvements help the production flow use the product and contact choices you actually selected. Video and source research routing was also updated to support the existing production tools.
A Command Center you can calm down
If the heart of Bot Commander sometimes feels busy, 0.3.0 gives you compact controls to adjust it.
You can now mute chatter, pause agent travel, and hide the central orb along with its connector lines and identity prompt. Navigation arrows can return when you hover or focus with the keyboard, so you keep access without permanent clutter.
These are controls for the presentation and activity of the Command Center. Hiding motion doesn't shut down background jobs, and quieting the display doesn't stop work you've asked for — it just gives you a calmer view while the work continues.
Better support, profiles, and communication
The support side got a practical upgrade. Support knowledge and draft improvements help agents use current product information when preparing replies, which cuts down on the worst support failure: a confident answer built on outdated facts.
Identity and scheduling are also tighter. Public display-name handling and owner time-zone work improve how names appear and how scheduling behaves. Confirmed-user handling now distinguishes email-confirmed accounts from pending signups, and the CRM includes pending-signup visibility with guarded deletion controls so cleanup decisions are deliberate rather than accidental.
Communication preferences and rank-announcement work now distinguish eligibility from delivery preferences more carefully — who should receive something and who has chosen to receive it are separate questions, and both get respected.
This release also includes automatic welcome-email handling. It depends on the configured owner desktop being running and online, and on recipient eligibility and preferences, so it will not reach every new contact under every condition. Newsletter rendering has also been improved.
Team workspaces
Team connection and shared-data isolation stabilization ships in this release as Preview maintenance. The key improvement is that connection errors should no longer silently switch shared operations to personal, local data. Team business workspaces and hosted conversation Groups remain distinct features. This is stabilization work, not a claim of finished shared-agent collaboration — and it is not advertised as enterprise-ready.
Getting the update
All platform downloads now serve 0.3.0, so the installers you download today are current. Bot Commander remains your AI Home & Business Automation System, free under Value for Value, and you stay in command of which AI providers you connect and the work your team performs.
Platforms in this release:
- Windows: signed MSI installer.
- macOS: separate Intel and Apple Silicon installers, both signed and notarized. Choose the installer that matches your Mac's chip.
- Linux: AppImage and Debian/Ubuntu .deb installers. The automatic Linux updater uses the AppImage. Pick the package format appropriate for your system rather than installing both.
If you're already running Bot Commander, take the update and your team picks up these improvements. If you're new, this version is a complete starting point: one download, your own AI team, and you in the director's chair.
